Community mobility is a crucial strategy to allow older adults to continue to engage in meaningful social and community activities that will allow them to maintain their sense of identity, autonomy and health. Ageing in place allows older adults to maintain important social relationships and meaningful activities that contribute to health. Community engagement has a positive influence on preventing physical and mental decline and reduces a significant economic burden on health and human service infrastructure in the community. The aim of the event is to discuss joint interest in the mobility needs of older adults with and without cognitive decline.
The goal is to establish collaboration and joint projects.
